They're gorgeous horses. Check out the 80s movie "Ladyhawke" - Rugter Hauer's character rides one in the movie.
I've seen them at Devon mostly in the carriage competition, but I hear they're beign used more and more in dressage.
i love friesians. i have a half-arab/half-friesian colt. he'll be 1 yrs old next month! actually, a month from today!!

Friesians are by far my favorite breed and are not normally mean. Any horse can be. It's generalizations like that which show complete ignorance.
Actually there is a mare which is pregnant with my first (but not last) Friesian. This is a dream come true and a long time coming!
