have a english and western catagory.... 2 totally differnt sports what should we do and keep rude comments to ur self. if u think we shouyld go to the forum type in horses at the top and then vote thanx alot

I think that's a good idea, but sometimes a question might aply to both. there would have to be a general horses area...

it might get too complicated, but I think it's a really good idea to break it down into sub-categories.

But then are you going to divide them then into western related fields such as pleasure and reining and english related such as dressage and jumping? What about pro and amateur?There would surely end up being hundreds of boards. A lot of young people post messages here looking for help and advice and I just think it would be too time consuming and too much hassle to keep switching from board to board especially for the younger ones.

Most techniques and styles of riding are not that different at all. Horses are horses. You can learn from all types of riding.

I dont really think this is a good idea and I remeber from before that we've already sort of talked about this... It's just too much of a hassle and we already had to fight for the horses section so we should be thankful and stick to what we have. We don't need sub-sub categorys and if we did get them pretty soon everyone else would want them too.. Like for the Pets--->Cats for example-- would we break it into short hair and long haired? It's all just too much. I don't really that that we have too much of a problem with western VS. english on here and most questions are just about horse care in general i've noticed but there are a few select riding style questions... But it doesn't really matter-- i've seen How do i rope? and How do i jump? all over this board and It doesn't really matter if they are mixed in. Personally, I dont see it as a problem at all... Normally I wouldn't have even given much thought to it if it wasnt for this question. Thanks for the opinion though!

Don't see a point really... there aren't that awfully many questions in this category to begin with (not compared to many others) and like others have mentioned, a lot of questions are general horse questions and not specific to a discipline, and there are a number of people who have experience in both disciplines anyway.
