this lady had taken in bout 15 horses 2 rescue and went through hard times but instead of selling them it got so bad that animal cruetly was called on her and the horses were taken away from her cuz she could not feed them. i think that if uu do not have the money to take care of animals do not get them.. horses have no say in where they go but they have to trust humans and becuz of people like her they dont at all..

Yeah, I totally know what you mean. A lady I know is getting 5 or so mini horses and she can't even afford board for her 2 horses as it is! Sometimes people are so stupid.

But yeah, I also agree with you. There are a LOT of people out there that want to get horses, but don't have the money. Yet people like her and the lady I mentioned still get them. That's why there is the ASPCA and all of those rescue places! The most we can do is speak out against it and not do it ourselves...

Well, it sounds she had good intentions. People cannot always depict what will happen either. Find hard times, they are a com'in and if you fall upon this situation. well, how would you feel. I have well bred horses, good horses, thank god I don't REALLY NEED TO SELL, OR>>>>>> I'd be in a mess too! They are not all moving these days, I've had several, low priced, good horses and not ONE LOOKER. So, what can be done?? I care and feed them, thankfully, I've been blessed to do so!

Unfortunately this happens a lot more than we realize and a lot of times many even go unnoticed... A lot of times people just hoard animals for fun but some actually believe they can help them, this poor lady probably didn't know what she was getting into and was just trying to help-- often times it's just a lack of education in the specific area yet the passion for animals.I'm sure that not all people have bad intentions but the only thing we can really do is donate and volunteer at Humane Societys and Animal Shelters-- Maybe if we all get more involved and donate the Animal Shelters can speak out and reach out to those who'd like to help but dont know exactly how to.

She sounds like a hoarder. They have good intentions, but take on more animals than they can appropriately care for but refuse to give any up. I wouldn't be surprized if she has a billion dogs and cats running around too.

I imagine this lady thought she was doing the best she could and as bad as it is with her, it would be worse for her animals with some stranger. So many horses go for slaughter, she probably couldn't face that even though a death by slaughter would be kinder than a slow death by starvation. It is a shame some folks couldn't have gotten together and helped her out with feed.

I was watching videos online the other day and came across a woman who had 22 horses living on her property that were skin and bones because she couldn't afford to feed them.
