its got nothing to do with people being either left or right handed

That's why in horse racing horses have their favourite courses, some prefer left bends and others right.

r u talkin 'bout the side to mount the horse? well, all horses are supposed to be mounted from the left side because the left side is the same for everyone. if u were mounting a horse and didnt know what side to get on, getting on the wrong side is risky because the horse isnt used to it. so, to be safe, thats why horses are lefties

If a horse workers better on the left rein then he is more used to working on the left rein the same goes for the right rein , he may have been taught this as a youngster but a horse should have equal work on both reins as one side of his body may become weaker than the other, this can often lead tpo problems latter in life, and need's to be corected so soon as possible , as blance is affected

Of course. Think about leads, my horse is a great left leader but a bit sloppy on the right lead. It has everything to do with that-- it's just the way things are.

okay for one thing, if u cant mount ur horse from both sides something is wrong with u or ur horse!!!!u should train a horse to be able to do everything on both sides....i mount my horse on the right side most of the time, i lead my horse on both sides, i barrel race starting with the right barrels sometimes and sometimes i start with the left...horses that can be versitile are the tamest, best horses u could ever have......its just the way they are born...people are born either one or the other and horses are to
