Why are some people (horse back riders) such Hypocrites2007-11-24 21:23:15

There's a big difference between enjoying a nice gallop on a gorgeous summer evening as part of a ride with a trained horse and a good rider; or a kid galloping everywhere, all the time, who ruined one horse and is looking for another horse to do the same to as the 12 y.o. in question has been doing.

The person in question obviously is not listening to any of the advice she is getting from experienced people, since she's 'blocked' me and everyone else who told her what she didn't want to hear.

Dont pay any attention to all those people who think they know it all..Just ignore them..Just pay attention to your horse and have fun and use common sense when you ride..There is nothing wrong with running your horse, as most horses need that bit of exercise..All horses of everybreed will run, whether you are on them or not. Have fun, and who cares, everyone in this world is a critic..Some are just Hypo-critics..

I love to run my horse. We got her up to 50 mph. There's nothing wrong with running your horse for fun. A lady tried to tell me once that I shouldn't run my horse like that. My horse loves it though and is pretty much always begging for more. SO KEEP ON RUNNING!

Horse people are a breed of their own. I remember times when younger people took advice from the elder horse back riders.now I have students that give me sass when I try and correct them--I'm like "Sh!t, I don't think your parents want to waste $70 for you to be giving me lip when I try and give you constructive critisism."
