Why are there so any abusive horse trainers2007-11-24 21:23:15

If these horses are winning I'm not sure I see why it matters, I know that abusing animals is wrong I'm not doubting that but maybe you are exaggerating what really happened. You might not see the praise but its probably because the trainer wants the horse to know that right then and there was not the time to goof off, it was time to work. I run barrels and have experience with pleasure and halter horses, I know that if any of my horses were to act up at a big show they would receive a good half-hour of lunging. Another thing you may not know is what if it is that horses first time at a show, or it had not been lunged before it was ridden and really was being hard to handle. There are a lot of things that you might not know about the horse and that trainer. The sore on the horses side could be from anything if you did not see for yourself exactly what happened. (A good idea for you to do if you know of a trainer that will hurt their horses you should get a video camera and get a good video of exactly what happens, show that to the judges) As for the snotty rich girl thing you don't always know about things like that, and a lot of times people who have money need things like this to make themselves feel good. Yes there are so many traines out there like that.Look at the trainners for andulusion how do you think they train them for the spanish walk?Let me tell you not to many no the truth,They take either a 2x 4 or a PC pipe they start beating the hell out of there knees untill they cant stand the pain anymore & they give in & start raising there legs high so full of pain after they learn that then they get on with the mexican sharp pointed spurs & teach them that way for the show.Everyone thinks its so fantastic what they can do,dancing,bowing,lying down but no one has a clue what the poor animal went threw.As long hey allow these shows they will continue to break down these animals.

It is part of OLD TRAINING the older people do not like the new ways of training and have not changed there ways. it is worng. very wrong. i hate going to shows for that reason. but there is really nothing people can do because older people think they are in the right.

My horse is perfect and the people I got him from raised him kindly, there was no abuse. It's totally possible to have a good horse without hurting the poor guy! I'd never dream of doing anything like that to my horse.

I hate seeing animals abused, especially ones that let us sit on their backs and carry us around.

People are definately sick.
