Just keep answering honestly- you'll get through to someone sooner or later!
I noticed that too!! I just told someone I would have a drink for her tonight because she asked for others to have fun for her tonight since she can't and I got 1 thumb down.I don;t get it...What DO people want? Other questions I have answered honestly I got thumbs down because I didn't agree with the crowd. Sorry...I don;t have an answer for you...just confirming that people are dumb!
Ok, this is probably a really dence question, but what's a saddle horse that it's not strong enough for running? And do you mean a full out gallop, or a canter?
Sorry I had to ask such a silly thing. I've only had QH/Paints, 1 Arab, a couple ponies, and a couple drafts.
Never had a Saddle Bred or anything like that.
But back to your question, don't bother sugar coating. I don't. When people ask questions, I give an answer. If it's what they need to hear, I'll say it as strongly as I need to to make sure it sinks in. It's better to have a few people mad at you than a hurt child ANY day.
I don't think that people judge a writer as a "hypocrite" necessarily when they answer strongly. They can have a variety of responses to our answers - I suspect the main reason they respond negatively is they are frustrated or angry because a person's reply didn't validate their own opinions.
