And, as a well-established barrel racer, galloping is required during the races, and often during training. ONLY consider a healthy horse, perfect conformation and gaits, and ALWAYS wrap before exercise.
And, if anyone feels like they're going to retort this in a negative fashion, please leave it out, because I won't hesitate to dish it RIGHT BACK.
It seems like some people who ask questions here don't really want an honest helpful answer. They want someone to tell them to do what they were going to do anyway. It's a shame. It usually means some animal is going to suffer because of their stubbornness or ignorance.
LOL! I hear ya! Your horse kicks the shoer, and you say.."Its ok baby!" Then you give him a carrot... Unreal. Then you wonder why you cant get a shoer, maybe becuse you have an unbroke horse! I know, people say the poor horse has been abused, I hear that all the time. Abuse is when your horse takes off when your kid is on it, and someone winds up in the emergency room!
Just tell the truth, be prepared to back up your reasoning with solid, sound facts, and go on. I have been riding for 30 years, teaching for 18, and managing for 19. I have seen insane antics on horseback by children and adults, and have made some enemies by calling attention to it and in some cases stopping it by inviting the problem-makers to leave the premesis. You cannot please everyone all the time, and will drive yourself nuts trying. If someone can prove you wrong, take in the lesson and learn. If you are right, then hope they will learn from you. Bottom line, you cannot change them without teaching them, and them accepting it and changing themselves.
I think the issue is that those who ask questions want to hear what they want to hear and not the truth. I don't know about the whole Anthony situation- don't really have time to care...but I know from reading what you wrote that it's not just him that believe's that people in these sections are hypocrites.
