And, sometimes people ask rhetorical questions just to stimulate discourse and conversation. If someone doesn't like rhetorical questions, they should ignore them.

I think everyone could be a bit nicer, myself included. BUT when my opinion does not match with what the asker wanted to hear, I also do not like getting flamed in a posting or by email for not agreeing with them. Of course that makes me mad and I am guilty of giving back what I get. And nothing gets accomplished but a bunch of childish behavior. Instead of finding out why the person has the opinion they do, we are quick to condemn because they do. If you ask a question, then you should be prepared to get all kinds of advice. And what we all should stick to is answering questions to our best ability and not get into name calling as to who is right or wrong in answers. Even if you do not agree with what another person is saying. I think that if we put our egos aside (it is not like we get paid to answer questions), we can all learn something from each other, or even just have a good laugh over something. Thanks for bringing this up and hopefully everyone will be able to improve from it. I will certainly try on my part.

I know how it feels. One of my questions received two answers that were completely out of left field, so to speak. And people do ask some question just to spark a debate (especially in the NASCAR section...) Most people are asking question because they would like some honest answers. And there are people who will answer them with completely clueless/rude/unneeded answers just to get points. I wish that those people would grow up.

I suppose we are all judgemental to an extent, but who defines a stupid question.
