This should be the very place where we can ask all the questions that are to 'stupid' to ask your friends. I'm sure I'm not the only one who suddenly finds something that they just don't know, and want to find out more.
I think the biggest problem is when people ask questions that make you mad. My dog has been vomiting blood for two days and now she wont move. This is the kind of question the boils my bloos and in this situation I will respond correctly and maby a little to mad. But when peole like me get on here to answer questions and see this kind of thing day after day after day it starts to get under your skin and you just loose it. But when people ask a simple question and get the nasty answers back it might make them think we are just a groop of mean people with nothing better to do with our day than make other feel bad for simply wanting to know and that is not right. I agree we all need to take a chill pill on ocation but for the most I belive it is the question asked that provokes the answers you get back.
Because people need to know how people feel about the question! If it hurts peoples feelings then they need to grow up! Life isn't easy! & If people think that person is stupid that is their right to tell them! Dumb people are how horses end hurt! Just like that man who didn't check his horse trailers floor & the floor fell out & killed his horses by ripping their legs off!! Now that was a stupid person! If you don't like it toooo bad!! Some people need to open thier eyes!!
It's done because often we people that have been around horses for a long time forget how difficult it was starting out. We've developed our patience around the horses and forgotten about the people involved. We take our knowledge for granted and some guard it with their lives thinking that anyone that doesn't have this knowledge is stupid or ignorant, but will not share it to help another person keep from making the same mistakes that we made along the way. Or some people reason is that they've fixed their share of problems that new owners have created and that's make them bitter where new people are concerned. Sometimes we have to remember to let go and learn. We can all learn from one another. The only stupid or ignorant questions where horses are concerned is the question that you didn't ask.
well as i have experienced, horse poeple our one of the bggest groups of hypocrits and back stabbers and just plain flakey people that you can find online. but again, most horse people are friendly and mean well. its like they say " opinions are like a**holes, everyones got one"
I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN! Horseback riding topics are sometimes so controversial, there are many many ways of training and just because someone doesn't train the same way you do doesn't mean they are inexperienced and you are right on with the respononses to horse/fashion help 911's question-- I happen to know her very well and she is actually very experienced... If you are gonna go on yahoo looking for answers and looking to answer some questions you are just gonna have to realize that you will get all different sorts of opinions-- duh everyone isn't gonna think the same thing!! (not you personally, but 'you' in general)
