From a father's stand point. My daughter says it's her form of freedom. When she rides shes usually alone with just her and one of her horses and out and about the country side with not a care in the world. So my answer is simply that it is a FREEDOM ASPECT.

I think i can speak for most girls by saying that horses aren't like dogs or cats and they care about you and you learn to care about them so people ride to be with horses more often. I LOOVE grooming Mighty!

I have been riding since I was two, so no, I don't think I had sexuall inclinations then, like most of you guys think. I'm sure most people would agree w/ that. It's just a gift that your lucky enough to be born with. Horses are very loving creatures, the essence of power& beauty, yet sensitive & loving. You can feel one w/ these magnifisent creatures. A good rider can totally communicate w/ their horse, your a team working towards a goal and no-one can stop you. Very few people know this but there is a point you can get to when cantering that is called being "in the vacume" when you & your horse fit so well together you don't even feel the saddle under you & you feel you are riding on air, yet connected to the horse. You have to be really good to get to that point though. It's almost spiritual. So take that you gutter minds.
