Why is YA Horses suddenly full of mean questions and answers
I thought this was supposed to be about horses, not childish problems? Is it so hard to settle through email instead of making a public spectacle? I expect this in R&S, not Y!A Horses.
Answers:My pet horsey "issue" is busting the stereotypes that horse people are all elitist a-holes and getting more people interested/involved in horses (my theory is more riders=more attention to conserving green space, trails, opening horse parks etc.)
My concern with the answers and questions that have been popping up is what someone new to the horse world might think of equestrian sports after reading this forum.
I'm not down with lying, poor communication, or insults, so don't get me wrong.
However diplomacy is currently lacking and the horse world needs as many ambassadors as possible for the good of us all.
I also just noticed all that's been going on without me--seems like we missed out on a big argument. I respect a lot of the horse people who evidently busted some little kids lying, and it's turned into an online fight. It isn't really a big deal, but they're having an awful lot of fun trading insults. I say leave them to their fun, and just sort through the questions you really want to answer. It'll all blow over, or someone will get banned. I thought of reporting the little kids, but decided to leave them to their own demise.
Horsegal, nobody has a problem with the fact that you love your horse or that you aren't an expert.
