Most outlets will let you try the saddle which should help your decision.

And Wintecs are so super easy to clean rather than leather! You have to clean out a horse don't trouble yourself with saddle cleaning aswell!

My wintec has lasted 6yrs and it still looks good as new infact the only one i've seen not looking is great is our grooms as he flings it about and scrapes it across walls, flings it into the tack room etc, and even then it's scraped but still working perfectly!

I have both of these and i love them - i found it so hard to find a saddle that fitted my two horses - one who is very narrowand one who isn't but has very high withers - they are so much happier with these saddles and i am too - ive had one of mine for nearly 7 years and its in great condition still! I have really long legs and like to ride short jumping and i find the 2000 GP suits me brilliantly for this! I love my wintecs!

I bought the 500 cair pkg. I absolutely hated the saddle. I could never get it tightened enough and it would slip and I ended up having a wreck because of it doing that.

So I sold the saddle to my sis, who loves it LOL. She uses it all the time and has no problems.

I think they are nice quality saddles for the price and would hold up just fine. I never had an issue with the quality of it, just the functionality at cinching.

Oh and to get the xtra wide gullet in, it took 3 people and a 6 pack to finally get it together. It involved lots of swear words, a little blood on the fingers, but we got er done. Its not an easy task to accomplish so make sure you invite your buddies to a party to get them to show up and have them help you get it in!

I've gota disagree with the second answer I am not rich or snobby but I saved long and hard and worked my **** off for my saddle it is a Quattro Made to measure VSD which is the best quality and most comfortable saddle I've ever owned/ rode in. I got that because every other saddle I had moved around on my very active WB/WC so it was for her health and because I prefer leather.
