Wintec 500 or 2000 saddle with CAIR system2007-11-24 21:23:25

These days though the Sinthetic saddles are so well made they can almost rivle leather ones for looks, fit and longlivaty, but they are still reasonably priced. For what you want to do I think a sinthetic saddle is ideal, I'd rather pay less money on material objects and spend more on good quality food etc for my horses but I'm really fussy and have to work all the hours god sends to have the best of both so my horse, he never goes without.. I do!!

But each to their own I rode in the Wintec 2000 when I was getting my mares new saddle and it was nice and comfey and fitted me and her ok. Go for it and whatever you choose just enjoy your horse and happy hacking.

P.S. What about getting a Nice second hand leather saddle fitted they can cost the same as a new sinthetic one but may last longer.

NO WINTEC NO WINTEC NO WINTEC!!!!!!!!...

When I was looking for a nice, reasonable priced dressage saddle for my 2 horses, mostly everyone I talked to said in my price range of $1000 that a Wintec would be the next best thing to sliced bread. So, I bought a Wintec with the CAIR panels. 6 months later I had TWO HORSES with RUINED BACKS. RUINED. Unrideable, horrifically saddle sore, and one has had 18 months off and is still UNRIDEABLE. The saddle fit the horses perfectly, but the CAIR panel system is AWFUL.

Certain horses do love it, but I WOULD NEVER risk it again. NEVER EVER EVER after all I've been through with both my horses in the last 18 months. One will never be ridden again, the other will never do dressage again.

i own the wintec close contact saddle. I bought it 4 years ago for my mare I have used it for everything showjumping cross country hinting the lot it is fantastic so comfortable lightweight and really easy to clean. I now own another mare who I now use the saddle on its still in fantastic condition and is so comfortable for my pregnant mare.

I cannot recommend wintec more they are fab
