I have a fondness for quarter horses. They are a smaller breed, quite intelligent, gently and energetic. They have great personalities too.

Any stallion is great for show, but runs around so dang much that it destroys grassland. This is why quarter horses are so popular, a good mix of everything. Stay away from Arabians, they're too tempermental and may attack children.
