Wormer for my horse

EDIT:
Twice a year is more than enough, if the horse is staying healthy in between.
we worm our horses according to our vet's recommendations--every 6 months with two doses given approx 3 - 4 weeks apart. also we get our wormer from the vet so he knows what we are using and he does rotate every time we worm them. 2 doses of one type in the spring and 2 doses of another type in the fall. since you do not OWN this horse you have no right giving it anything unless you clear it with the owners first.
Talk to the owners about it.
1. no you can overdose him resulting in poisoning.
2. strongid is a good brand. ivermectin is a great brand also. switch brands regularly to get rid of all worms, as each dewormer works on different worms.
3. i don't know.
make sure you tell the owners so that they know that he's being wormed regularly; this can keep a horse from overdose, for example he's actually upd't on deworming bnut you don't know it cuz they don't tell you.
First off you need to ask the owners,If you do not ask permission and you overdose him-YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE!Horses canot be wormed twice a month.
Rotating dewormers is a good idea.have the owners call the vet or they can put him on a good de-worming program if he is not already on one.
Worming every other month should be o.k. but not any closer.A vet should be the one to diagnose if the horse
