You may also find that your vet or feed merchants can give you some promotional stuff, they get given it by the reps that sell to them.

Everyone does not need to use the same wormer as everybody else when worming, just worming at the same time is needed.

Horses that share the same field should be wormed at the same time - not everyone has to use the same wormer though! some ppl may be treating for different type of worms at a different time to someone else!

Hey!

Contrary to belief it does not matter what wormer each horse gets provided they are wormed at the same time!

It is also beneficial to change the type of wormer you use every few weeks as the worms can actually become immune to the same product month in month out!

I prefer to use just an ordinary everyday type calener - I keep this in my tack room andhightlight the day of worming in a bright colour - you dont need a specific "worming" calender at all - these everyday use clendars are just as effective!

Just on the note about that yard - it might not be a bad idea to suggest a delouse day - you can buy a bottle of delouser in any tack shop - a few drops will kill any lice or ticks which the horses may have picked up - its quite cheap but you do need to read the instructions carefully

It is very important to deworm for the right kind of worms at the right time of the year. for example, you want to worm for bots in the spring and fall to eliminate the eggs from being ingested and excreted. During the summer months focus on tapeworms and strongyles. i think Fort Dodge makes a good calendar for the different types of worms and they types of products that elimate these worms. check it out maybe
