Would it be safe
sorry for your loss
cheers
josie
If you dewormed and vaccinated your donkey, I sure would not eat it!
oh yeah, i get it, this is a joke isn't it?
I dont know if you are joking or not, but assuming you aren't - yes donkey meat is edible (just as horse, goat, dog, cat, human, etc is) and death by electrocution would be a safe way of killing the animal without introducing toxins which would make the meat unfit for human consumption, but that is assuming the donkey was free of such toxins before it died - if you could be sure of this then yes - it would be safe to eat your donkey! failing that; feed it to a carnivorous pet!
There is nothing inherently wrong in eating donkey meat - it is only through culture that western society scorns it in favour of pig/sheep/cow meat - although i haven't tried it. But goat is nice, its somewhere between lamb and pork in taste and texture. it is also only through culture that it isn't seen as acceptable to eat domesticated, or even domesticated but not kept as a pet, animals. On traditional farms and smallholdings the animals were often given names and treated as members of the family and just as the father's job was to work, the mother's job was to keep house the livestock's job was to grow large with food to provide meat for the family and the hides for clothes and furnishings. People are now rather squeamish, the plastic wrapped packets of clean, cut meat separates them from the idea of the animals the meat used to be (and given the state of the meat industry that's probably a good thing), to suddenly combine the two ideas - cute furry animal and 'dinner' is uncomfortable for many people.
ha ha ha ha ha funny joke but no i would not eat a dunkey
I don't believe that would be a good idea at all. It could have any kind of unknown bacteria. It's just not a healthy decision. Don't do it. Just go buy a steak at the store!
Why would you want to?
aww, the poor little donkey. It would be safe to eat it as long as your sure it didn't have an illness or anything like that. I don't think that you should eat one of your perts though do you?
