IF the animals were well cared for and had a clean bill of health, and is obvious that they recieve proper care then it definately wouldn't stop me from buying :]
just sounds like the previous owners were a bit negligent of their home. if the animal looks ggod but the house doent that means they care more for the horse than the house. so you get a pretty good deal. i wouldnt focus on the house or owners but on the horse
I find a lot of horsey people live for their horses and you could find that the horse you want to buy is fantastic - don't go by the house, they may just spend a heap of time out with the horses. Go by the people and the horse.
No. As long as it doesn't look like "trailer trash" to me, (meaning the front yard looks like a junkyard with fridges/old cars/random old trash) it doesn't matter. XD
In all honesty - no it would not stop me from buying a horse. But I would lower my offer for the horse. Sorry, just being honest.
how some one keeps house can also tell you how they care for their animals, but judging a book by its cover does not tell you what work went into the book either. Some People care more for their animals than they do for themselves. The best advice that I can give is to look at the condition of the animal itself as to whether it is worth the investment. you might be giving the animal a second chance and it may make you feel better about yourself if you rescue it from deplorable conditions.
explain to prospective buyers your position. they should be understanding and more interested in the animals than your personal life. but also, your ability to care for your property and animals will reflect on your appearance as an owner.
I took reining cowhorse lessons from a guy whose house looked like something off Amyityville horror. It was delapedated, run down etc. However, when you walked inside it, you could see that they did it for tax purposes LOL.
