Your horse poo
I have 151 acres, & I was wondering what all you people do with your horse poo? I mean besides put it into the trash can. What uses does it have?? I wanted to hear from other ranchers & farmers! I need some ideas! Thank you!!
Answers:trash can? shame on you. Horse manure is great for composting.
Most people pile it up and let it age. Then you give it away, use it in gardens, spread it on a field...
It's basically the same as sheep, and cow manure, which is sold everywhere.

I love one of the tips I found here - using it to fill holes and low spots. For people who hate the big pile(s)...that's perfect!
And craigslist...another great idea!
For all of your gardeners out there...don't be afraid to ask nearby horse owners if they have any "extra".
btw - to keep the stink down, I prefer to dig 1-2' trenches between my garden rows. I fill them with horse manure, and add fish guts, and cover with lots of soil. You shouldn't be able to smell it. Your plants will love it.
use it as fertilizer it helps your plants
i sell mine to neighbors and friends/family for garden fertilizer. it works great- so they all say. the rest just sits in a pile and wastes away basically.haha.
I sleep on piles of manure. It goes straight from the stall to my bed!
We used to collect it and make a compost pile. We used it on our property and sold it to others!
Put it in big piles, load it up into a muck spreader and spread it all over the hayfield as fertalizer. Also give some to the neighborse for there gardens.
There are tons of things you can do with it.
