I just want to kno if n.ebody out there knows if its bad for my baby turtle to have beach sand (salt sand) in his tank.. ?

Answers:

What kind of turtle? Strictly a water turtle? At any rate, you need to have sterilized sand placed in the tank if sand is what you are using.

I had water turtles before and I used pebbles and larger rocks for them to crawl out and sun themselves under the lamp (be sure the lamp is not going to cook it.) You can use rocks you find, but be sure to boil them to clean it first. Don't just randomly put objects in there.

Talk to a local pet store to be certain about your specific kind of turtle.

It's not such a great idea. If his food sinks to the bottom, and he eats it from there, he could swallow some of the sand, which isn't very good for them. Larger pebbles that won't fit in his mouth are a better option.
you have to be careful because its going to eat some of its lining. i had a tourtose and i had to keep it lined with uninked paper because it wouldnt hurt her as bad as gravel or sand. just do a search on reccomended cage/tank liners for turtles.
Not a good idea. Besides eating it, it could contain parasites or other contaminates. Also, it will be salty, and unless your turtle is a saltwater species, it could be harmful.
While this mostly depends on the species, any sand used should be clean, smooth, and free from possible contamination. Beach sand usually does not qualify.
Probably not. They aren't meant to live in beach sand and sand isn't that comfortable anyways. I'd go with small flat rocks.
its not a good idea cuz then turtles may eat the sand along with the food unles you feed it in another container

also beach sand is very dirty i mean EVERYONE and THING touches it

i would say get large pebbles that are bigger than the turtles head

best of luck >< its gonna be hard removing the sand

no its a bad idea becuase it could make turtle water into salt water and it will kill the turtle it also makes the water dirtier and make the turtle sick. Turtles live in fresh water and the sand has been on the beach and people pee in the water. so i would not put sand in there its not good and not healthy for ur turtle
