Also some states have laws concerning what kind of pet carriers are acceptable to use for snakes. It could be considered cruel to an invertebrate reptile which would get your arrested in some states. Some states also have restrictions on transporting what is considered a "dangerous" animal.

Also are you staying at a hotel while on the trip? The hotel may not accept a snake as an acceptable "pet" for your room. And you may not be able to get your money back if thrown out of your room.

So you may want to check first but if you take him with you have fun.

I would not recommend that you take your snake on a two day road trip. There are more things to consider than food, water, and temperatures. Such as snakes hunt by vibration and vibration tends to stress snakes. That is why the do not recommend you play loud music around your snakes. Not that they can hear but rather feel the bass. It is for this reason I would not recommend it. There are going to be vibrations in the car from it moving down the road. I do not care how fancy the car there will be vibrations. I bagged them in thier own seperate bag, Placed each bag in a box with shredded newspaper to dampen vibrations. and did all I could when I got them home they still would not eat for a few weeks from the stress of the trip.

It is your snake it is your choice as to what you do. I would not suggest it but that is my opinion based on several years of keeping and breeding snakes. Plus is it fair to the snake to stay in a bag for two days? Bags are really the only safe way to transport snakes. Where will the snake be at night? Now if you were moving and when you got to your new home your snakes old familliar things would be there that might be a different story but not for just a road trip too much vibration I would not risk it.

easy to do, no problem, just put your snake in a pillowcase and tie it closed or put it in a duffel bag with a zipper, just be sure to keep it warm

Yes, it is completely safe. It would be no different than shipping a snake across the country via FedEx, or the airlines. It may be a little longer of a trip, but it will not hurt the snake at all.
