Definitely NO..when someone gets bitten, the venom will go straight into his/her blood circulation system. But when someone swallows it, the venom will first enter into the digestion tract and later into the blood. So think about it!

first of all that would be a stupid thing to do. but if you did it be assured that it will not harm you in any way. the venom will just go directly to your bladder, not even harming the insides or the stomach or liver. its because it doesnt enter the bloodstream. but if it does {bitten} then it might even kill you.

no. from what i've read the venom is digested by the digestive system. the acid in the stomach eats it up.

where i think you can get in trouble is that people used to say if you got snakebit to make a shallow cut between the puncture holes left by the fangs and suck the poison out.

if you have a cut in your mouth, cavities in your teeth or open sores in your mouth you could get the venom into your bloodstream by that route.

they don't recommend that anymore because people were doing more harm with a knife to their bodies than the snakebite ever did. so now what they recommend is a constriction bandage between the wound and the heart and to pack the wound in ice. then get to the hospital.

There are many different types of venom.

I believe most would be neutralized by your stomach acid.

Now if you had a bleeding ulcer or other cut or lession you may be in trouble.
