Anyone know any trusted online dealers or breeders of iguanas? Looking to purchase a quality one.. im not a fan of purchasing from chain pet stores

I purchased my online well I ordered him from a place called LLL Reptiles it is in California San Diego to be exact I am not sure if there are stores nationwide or not? But they have a website I bought a baby green iguana which included the 64 gallon tank the heat lamp uvb lamp water dishes, thermometer, bedding..for 140.00 including shipping and he has been doing absolutely wonderful ever since! If you don't like buying from pet stores, you may be disgusted to learn about how breeders overdo it for extra income.

Can you afford to give the lizard what it needs? I mean, you realize it may grow up to 6' in length, and may even hurt you badly with a bite? Why don't you start with a smaller lizard, and re-evaluate when you get the hang of it?

hey, im not tryen 2 change ur mind or ne thing, but i had an iguana, and the thing was gross, it had red bugs liven on it, and im a VERY clean person, and so was the place i got it from. it was so nasty. they bite hard 2 lol. but yea, u might wanna think twice b4 purchaseing ;)

Start by reading at least 2 books and doing lots of research. I've had my iguana for 3.5 years, and she's awesome.

I bought her from PetCo - only because she was the liveliest of the bunch, and because I wanted to rescue her. PetCo is the worst. They use the bark bedding, but they don't treat it beforehand, and there are signs up warning consumers of this. The red bugs are mites, and they can be ditched if you know what you're doing.
