My corn snake keeps pooping on me, but she seems relaxed when she does it Is that normal2007-11-24 2:01:39

My corn snake keeps pooping on, me regardless of what others have said, she isn't alarmed or anything when she does it. She crawls around on me for about 20 minutes, relaxes for about 5, and then poops. I realized it only happens approx. 2 days after she has eaten. Is this normal for a corn to do? Does it mean she's comfortable, if she can poop on me? Like I said, she isn't tense of anything. she's very calm when this happens.

You should feel honored that she is comfortable enough to poop on you. You might choose to NOT hold her approx. 2 days after she has eaten, unless you're into that.

maybe you should wait 1 more day before you take her out! mine never did this, but i usually wait 3 days after feeding before handling! if you hold too soon they can trow up their food! this is dangerous and can kill them! i also think it may depend on her age maybe! mine is 5 years old!

You really shouldn't handle your snake for at least 72hr.s after feeding. They might regurgitate their meal, which stresses them,& they usually need about this long for the meal to work thru their digestive system & be eliminated. Try letting the snake alone for 4-5 days after feeding & if she still does it, I think it's personal! What have you done to piss this snake off? Just kidding! You might try grasping her more gently, she might be afraid of too strong a grip.

it normally takes 2 days to digest their food and on the third day look for its waste and when you see it ,it will not go to the bathroom on you, for I own a 5 ft boa and it poops the size of a small dog,I always wait
