There is swelling under her throat, it looks like a little lump. She seems fine but I'm worried about her. Aanyone have any idea what's going on?
Answers:it could be something that you need to lance and clean out. that's what a vet would do.
Go to a site where there are experts on snakes - kingsnake.com has forums for many species and general care forums. You are going to find people there that actually know about snakes.
She could have a tick. Pick her up & with a magnifying glass, look at the area for the tick. It could be buried under her scales, so you have to look closely. If there's one there, scrape it with a pair of tweezers to remove, or place a dab of rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip on the tick to make it release.
