My two turtles fight we seperated them can they live together somehow2007-11-24 2:01:52Answers:

My husband used to raise fish, and he had a trick for a breed of fish that always worked. He put the two males in aquariums right next to each other, so they could get used to each other. He left them that way for several weeks, then a few days before a show, he put them in the same aquarium. They were accustomed to seeing each other by then, so they didn't freak out.

Are they Ninjas?

[Gutted Euphoric. I beat you. Hahahahaha! Sometimes I crack myself up.]

let them fight.they wont kill each other.
they re training to become ninja turtles
Ha! I could say the same about my preteen sons!! LOL
Take away their guns/sticks etc and they will be fine ;-)
MAYBE THET AREN'T FIGHTING, ARE THEY MALE & FEMALE?
Sounds like ya may have to males.Have you sexed them? Google.com THANKS !
Sounds like you need to contact the UN and see if they can handle some diplomatic negotiations. They might be able to charter a peace treaty.

Just kidding. Usually when two animals don't get along it is because one is invading the others territory. You have to make sure they each have their own adequate space. If the cage is large enough, they might be two males (generally fight for territory). I'm not sure letting them "work it out" is going to fix anything.

Their dispute is territorial, so probably not. If they are both male or both female then it makes it even less likely that you could have them share housing. It might be possible to tie strings to their hind legs and anchor them out of each others reach. This will make them get used to where their area ends and the other turtle's area begins after several weeks of living like this they might learn to stay out of each others area, and therefore they would quit fighting.
its calla bunga time
Sounds like they are not all that social. Turtles really don't make the best pets anyway.
Time to order pizza dude!
There are several reasons for this, the biggest two are mating/courtship, and territoriality/dominance.

The easiest solution is a big tank. Most fighting occurs in small tanks that crowds the turtles. Aim for about 10 gallons of swimming water per inch of turtle. A couple of 4"ers would take about 40 gallons of swimming space- and the more the merrier.

Most keepers go with kiddie pools, etc. when the turtles get big. It actually makes most cares easier- less stress, more options for heating and filtration, more options for decor.

I will assume that you already are offering good heat, filtration, lighing, and diet- but you may want to review these basic cares to make sure you are doing it right anyway. I suggest http://www.redearslider.com or http://www.tortoise.org.

Good luck!
