I am looking for ideas to change up my turtles diet for her enjoyment? Can they eat fruit if so what kind?
I am currently giving her crickets, lettuce assortments, dried shrimp and peas. Any thing else I could give her?
Answers:Depends on the size of your turtle!
Check out the size of your turtle against a mouthful of some of these foods:
Leaves from any leafy vege that you'd eat yourself
Mealworms (look for the white ones, that have recently molted)
Earthworms. You may need to cut them in half and rinse them first.
Sowbugs, pill pugs.
Moths
caterpillars
katydids
ghost shrimp
"feeder" guppies
Try minnows and finely shredded carrots
OH! GOOOODY! TURTLE STEW,, HMMMMM, YUMMMM,MMMY! LET ME GET my JUMAICAN RUM out..
well it really depends on what species of turtle you have. If you have a type of slider they will enjoy some guppies. I give mine some every so often and its enjoyable watching them swim around chasing little fish.
