Question about FMR2007-11-24 2:01:57

Does anyone know any websites that say FMR is wrong with hermit crab care?

Answers:

I am not sure if any website will really publically put down any webiste by name I know that I have not done such a thing on my sites BUT>.I would NEVER reccomend Florida Marine Research (FMR) for anything OR to anyone!.

The foods they have put out have EQ in it which is toxic and deadly to hermit crabs causing physical deformations, molting issues as well as drastically shortens their lifespan. I have studied and reaserched the effects for over 15 years myself.

ALSO they promote Painted shells which are also toxic and terrible for crabs also leading to similar issues like EQ. I also have researched the effects for over 15 years.

Their care tips are out dated. they holding cages for crabs they sell are on cement florris and huge wire mesh walls which metal is toxic and cement floors is a cruel way of keeping them. They do not actually care about crabs, they are just in it for the money. They wouldnt allow my reacue to take a trip there to see their operations because it is busy season.. total lie, busy season has not started yet. They do not want someone sho knows what they are doing to call them out on abuse, neglect and bad care practices among other things!

Ferromagnetic resonance, or FMR, is a spectroscopic technique to probe the magnetization of ferromagnetic materials. It is a standard tool for probing spin waves and spin dynamics. It was unknowingly discovered by V. K. Arkad'yev when he observed the absorption of UHF radiation by ferromagnetic materials in 1911. A qualitative explanation of FMR along with an explanation of the results from Arkad'yev was offered up by Ya. G. Dorfman in 1923 when he suggested that the optical transitions due to Zeeman splitting could provide a way to study ferromagnetic structure. FMR is very similar to nuclear magnetic resonance except FMR probes the magnetic moment of electrons and NMR probes the magnetic moment of the proton.
