Should I get another Toad to keep our pet toad company2007-11-24 2:02:43

we have a pet toad. We have it in a aqurium with a pond,plenty of dirt and lots of bugs to give it what it needs.

but I was wondering if we should get another toad to keep it company.

Answers:

of course. but don't put them together so soon. toads will not get used to eah other that fast. you have to put them in seperate tanks first then after 2 weeks you can put them together. i would also get the same species. some are cannibal toads.

It all depends on the species, 'cos remember a lot of amphibian species tend to eat anything that moves around. Take for example horned frogs (the ones called pac man) they usually bite more than they can swallow!!

If you intend to breed them, find out about their reproductive behavior and search for info about the species you have before any action is taken.
