Snake making some kind of noise
I have a garter snake and sometimes he opens his mouth and makes little squeaky noises. Is something wrong at all? or is it just warning me, from some articles that ive read it said that. should I be worrying? please help!
Answers:it could be a couple of things but worse case senario is that its a respitory infection. is it something it dose while resting or only when active? is there any mucus comeing out of the mouth of the snake? have you noticed the snake becoming more lathargec lately? what are the temps like in the cage? either way if it is a respitory infection then a vet is realy the only one thats going to be able to help you.
turn up the heat (not to much) and lower the hummidity.. it wont fix anything but it will help untill he can be treated by a vet.
A garter snake should NOT be kept as a pet. However, take it to a veterinarian that specializes in reptiles immediately!
well maybe its a mouse stuck in there but like the others it probally is a infection so i wouldnt panic but get veterinary assistance
when snakes do that they are releasing air and it is nothing to worry about unless there is bubbles or mucas coming out too then you need to get it to the vet and have it put on antiobiotics
