I fouind this turtle at a lake it looked burnt but it want and it had spikes. So is it a snapping turtle?
Answers:Alligator Snapping Turtle does have ridges(spikes) on it's shell. You should be able to find a pic on internet easily enough.
Sounds like one to me.
1. Leave it alone- it has a better chance in the wild!

Sounds like an Alligator Snapping Turtle. becareful, then can bite off fingers very easily!
I don't know where you live, but I did find a site with decent
