I suggest you go to the links I provided below. Melissa Kaplan is well respected in the reptile and amphibian world.

As to my own comments, The lizard will need a few days to calm down. Right now it sees you as something that is trying to eat it. Considering the difference in size you would be paranoid too! What you need to do is care for it and be around it. Once the lizard realizes that you are not a preditor it will be less skittish.

Some notes about your lizard's habitat:

The tank needs to be large enough to allow it a variety of temperatures.

You need a UVB bulb and calcium suppliments to prevent metabolic bone disease. Not all UVB bulbs are created equal, some provide more UVB than others.

Besides crickets you need to feet your lizrard shredded or torn vegetables and fruits such as green beans, orange-fleshed squash, carrots, escarole, parsley, mustard, dandelion and collard greens, raspberries, mango, and cantaloupe. This should be 20% of it's diet.

Take your lizard to a certified reptile vetrinarian. One of the links I provided will help you find one.

I really encourage you to visit anapsid, org. That's where I learned how to take care of my Iguana.

it will mello out in time, trust me enjoy it while it still moves
Let it settle in to its new surroundings. Get it some salad and meal worms and maybe some Beardy Bites. Make sure your lighting is set up correctly (timers are helpful) and make sure to spray them down with water. I have found that they don't generally drink standing water. If you spray the side of the tank with a water bottle they will lick the moisture off the glass.

Have fun!

actually they are very frgile creatures and must be treated with extreme care or they will die like my rare blue eyed white bearded dragon (which i named Waldo by the way),feed it 5 goats a day and that should do
well I have two babies around that size and when I brought then home they were regular so I think you should let it calm down maybe it doesnt feel right in its new home it might take a litle time to get accustomed. Also if u only have one baby then it might miss her siblings if thats how it use to live. Also try offering it some food in its mouth
