The armadillo's diet consists mostly of insects and other invertebrates. Small animals, baby birds, eggs, and carrion may occasionally be eaten as well. Armadillos are almost constantly active when foraging鈥攑oking and probing into crevices and under litter for food.

I don't know if youd have a hard time feeding it other animals like baby birds because i would, however insects would be most likely for diet I suppose.

Is this a wild Armadillo that wandered onto your property? If so I wouldn't really feed it anything. She'll feed herself the way she has been all this time. It's not recommended that you feed wild animals because they will associate humans with food and that can cause problems for the people and the animal if it wanders up to a neighbors house expecting food and ends up finding a shot gun instead. Just watch your new friend from a distance and let her be. It sounds like a lot of fun. We don't have armadillos here. I wish we did.

if he is staying in your yard ,probably she can eat by her self i mean , you with have in your yard all what she needs , at least u keep her trapped inside , but they are omnivorous , they eat everything , as plants , as little insects , specialy bugs and beetles .

Nothing she is outside. She can care for herself.
