Let it go. Really . Dont worry about the missing tasil thing, it will likely grow back.

The best thing you can do for it , is to let it go where you found it or near by.. in some bushes or plant areas.

If you want a lizard as a pet.. buy one that was bred for captivity. They will do much better.. The wild one will almost surely die if you keep him.

Lizards eat very different things. They can eat crickets, veggies, or even baby mice! If it is a wild lizard, I would suggest that you just let him back outside. They do well without their tales in the wild. Sometimes they lose their tales to get away from predators. If it is a lizard that someone bought at a pet store, I could contact a vet about what it should eat.

Some lizards when a predator is attacking they can break there tail off so the predator will stay with the tail and the lizard can get away. So just release him and his tail will most likely grow back and he will be fine.
