Water Dragons and how to care for them
We have a 2 1/2 year old "Puff" we have had him since he was 2 weeks old and 6".email me and I'll fill ya in with more
The pet store are not supposed to sell them before 16 weeks old or 10" they sold us him though
When we got him. We spent about $300.00 for lights, heating pads, tank (small one- 25 gallons..had to get a new one in 3 months) food, water dish, thermometers, and all the basics. They need a tank with a hot end and a cooler end at least 100 degrees in the tank. A water pan they can swim in, and we had fake plants so he could hid in.
They have to have high humidity like 90% so you need a bubbler (a stone like in fish tanks) and a pump to make blow air thru the stone to make higher humidity. Something for them to lounge around on and hid in or under. Your tank need to have a lid as well . Do not use the stupid mesh cages. They can slice thru with their nails. They eat crickets and you need to dust with calcium and vitamins sometimes they will eat fruit and vegetable (Puff won't --YUCK). Later on when they get bigger they can eat pinkies ( rozen hairless baby mice) then mice (That is what Puff eats now)
Info on size, appearence, care, housing, diet, suggested reading, etc. can be found on the following sites. Good luck!

well, they are naturally like other tropical reptiles like for green iguanas for instance , water dragons can eat insects like crickets and other insects but also you need to get a heat light , a small fountain, and supplements (vitamins) like calcium. but becareful when handleling them wash your hands before and after so you wont catch salmonella. you can check out these websites www.zoomed.com and you can also look for nature zone products for supplements. also feed him a variety of diffrerent foods for proper nutrition.
By water dragon I am guessing you are talking about the green water dragon, which is the most popular and commonly sold species of water dragon on the market today. The brown water dragon is rarely seen and fetches a high price.
