I recently read a study about rotating eggs (wish I could remember
where) and the conclusions were the opposite of what is stated here.
There appeared to be no effect at all from rotating the eggs. I don't
think you should roll them around on the floor, but minor movement
should have no effect on them at all. I've found snake eggs in the
wild, put them in a snake bag with damp sand or soil, driven for hours
with them in the back of a truck and they all still hatched out fine.
Matter of fact, I had a gravid eastern indigo snake years ago that I
was afraid to leave alone while my wife and I went on vacation so we
took her with us. Drove over 1,000 miles to our destination, had her
drop the eggs the night after we got there, and then drove on home a
couple of weeks later. All the eggs hatched fine
