What can I do to help the growth of my lizards tail2007-11-24 2:03:15
He was taken out of his cage by a cat and I found him on the floor playing possum while I was at school. He is a Chinese Water Dragon. His tail has a black, Charcoal colored stub now and I was wondering if it will ever go back to normal. If so, what can I do to speed the process up
Answers:It is a plus that lizards can grow their tails back. The downside to this is they never grow back completely. That's why if you care about the beauty and physical features of your lizard, you will make sure that they are never put into a situation where that could happen. Sorry, but that is probably as long as your water dragon's tail is going to get.
give him steroids
I think that the question you just asked is a very good question. I think it depends on who you ask. Some might see it one way while others might see it the Other way. If i had to answer, i would say that you should just be patient and see what happens.
You will have to wait for the tail to heal. If it does regenerate, you will always be able to tell where the break occured. Just feed it well and take good care of it
Just keep it clean and watch for infection. If it regenerates it probably wont be as long as the original and probably will be off color a little bit. But as long as your lizard is healthy I wouldn't worry.
It will grow back no worries. But for the record, it will not ever be the same as it was. It will be miscolored and not as long with a blunt tip.
