What do you do when you find snake skin in your shed2007-11-24 2:03:27

I opened the door to the shed that has all my belongings in it because I moved here in NC 3 weeks ago, and right at the entrance was a huge snakeskin-what do I do now?

Answers:

I throw them away. If, it a good skin that not damaged, I think some people collect them. I not know a lot about snakes. But, they shed their skin regularly I assume as they grow. It may be living in the shed or comes there looking for mice. Most snakes are harmless and nothing to worry about. Most people never educate themselves about snakes and thus have a fear of the unknown. I read an article years ago on what people should do if they are bitten by a poisonous snake. Very interesting. They said; remain calm and just go to the Hospital and they give you a shot. They went on to say that; 80% of the people who die from a snake bite do not die from the venom, they die from the Shock, because they freak out. The link below will tell you about the poisonous snakes common to your area.

move out asap!
u pick it up and throw it away.
MOVE AGAIN
I would stay out of the shed.
pick it up and look it over. Those things are damn cool.

You can even take it to a wildlife person and see if they can identify the snake for you.

Your snake is looking for a place to hide, or hunt. So, get rid of mice, and get rid of entry points to your shed.

you never go back in there again!
