I think I have to agree that the ball python is an awesome snake and very easy to handle. You already have 9 corns which is the best beginner snake. Have any of them been picky eaters? If so.then you really are ready for a BP. This is the only reason I don't suggest balls as beginner snakes. They can be very picky eaters often going for many months without eating. I think they just like to make us crazy.:-D

Boa constrictors can be unpredictable, but they can also make awesome pets. Be prepared to have to feed a full-grown boa extra large rats to small rabbits.except for the honduran boas.smallest species known. A large aquarium is also necessary for many of the boas.

Hognose snakes are also a great snake. They're pretty easy going, but if you want a large snake.this isn't it. They stay small. This is one of the only poisonous snakes you will find in pet stores. It's a rear-fanged snake with a very mild venom meant to kill only very small prey. They're harmless to people. These are very easy to handle. My sister had one many years ago.

Just do your research and you will come up with th right snake.:-)

I highly recommend a ball python. I have one named Jerry and he is awesome. They're fairly low maintence. Keep their tank clean, warm, and humid. You feed them once a week (frozen mice are best) The only drawback is the initial expense. The snake, the tank, tank furniture(plants, rocks, etc..) heating pads and lamps, and a feeder tank is suggested. That way you don't feed him in the same tank he lives in and is less likely to become aggressive when handled.
i love snakes! i think that u should research and find info about a boa constrictor as a pet. Go to the pet shop and see if they have any more snakes you like!
hello i have 8 different snakes myself and they are all fine. i highly recommend a ball python because they are shorter and are more nonagressive =. i have two ball pythons and one of them was my very first snake so i highly recommend a ball python if you are looking for a more calmer snake. i mean i know ho wcorn snakes can be i have one myself and she can be a hand full sometimes!
Boa constrictors are fine and normally very predictable lol I don't know what these people are talking about I have two red tail boas there both over 6 feet long and they are by far the most docile snakes I've owned I've also held an taken care of dumerals and rosey boas and I've never seen a problem with there personality my ball pythons bitten me 3 times my red tails boas never when the ball python bit me it was my fault though and it doesn't hurt anyways. I mean they are great starter snakes that's what I had I'm just trying to let you know threes nothing wrong with boas I would also suggest a rainbow boa they are really neat too look at but they require 80% humidity all the time and are alot tougher then corn snakes I have 7 of those as well and just remebr red tail boas get very large I feed mine bunnies already and they require lots of space and alot more maintenance then corns but I'm sure you can handle it ohh and when there very young yess they can be unpredictable like most young snakes are a bit snappy but its nothing to be afraid of
