What kind of lizard can be kept with tree frogs2007-11-24 2:03:39

I have 4 green tree frogs and would like to add lizards. I know about the anole's, but was wondering if anyones else out there had other lizards with frogs.

Answers:

Anoles are really the only ones to my knowledge. They are small enough that the frogs are safe, and (generally) big enough that they won't become food themselves. Plus they have similar requirements in terms of humidity etc. and they're small enough that they can thrive in a vivarium set-up. Also, they're inexpensive. Perhaps day geckos could work too, but it may not be worth the risk. mighty expensive experiment.

This is a scenario that you should be careful with. they could easily harm each other. Find out how big some humidity-loving lizards get. For example, beared dragons are often bought as babies, but they can get to be 2-feet long! large lizards, might try to eat your frogs.
Only a lizard that is native to the area where the frogs are from.

Please go to a website where there are people who actually know what they are talking about.

I keep an anole in with my green and grey tree frogs. Its about the only lizard that is mainly arboreal and enjoys the humidity levels of the tree frogs.
