Answers:the best thing to do is to just leave it alone. You really shouldn't kill them because they are helpful to the environment. They kill other bugs and rodents that we consider pests so next time you see one unless it is attacking you, highly unlikely, just walk away.

If you aren't wearing the shoe, go ahead and smash it. Don't miss! You could spray poison or call an exterminator if you don't want to. I'd only use a shoe I'm wearing if I knew the soles were thick enough I wouldn't get stung thru them.
Run away from something that is practically an insect? No way--leave it alone (it probably won't mess with you anyway), (carefully) catch it and release it outside the house, or kill it. If you are in the US, the worst a scorpion will do is make you sick, unless you are particularly sensitive to their poison, as some people are with bees.
