I have a pet turtle and he wont eat the food I got him !

I bought a tub with shrips and stuff in it and the guy ay the counter said he would love it but he dosn't like it !!

What should I feed him !!

Please help me !! ("p)

How big/small is your turtle. Mine ate small fish. My turtle was still small and slow, so I had to injure the fish before tossing them in his tank. Also, try small bite size pieces of apples, and lettuce, or cantaloupe.

But, to be better safe than sorry, go to your local book store and purchase a book on turtles and how to care for them.

They sell turtle food in the pet stores, it comes in a container and is pelleted. Also, when we would find them in our yard and keep them for a few days, they will always eat dog food. Turtles are omnivores, so make sure you are giving it meat and veggies.

I had a turtle that refused to eat even meal worms.I think he was actually afraid. I had to offer him beef baby food for his protein. They also have supplemental powders if he proves a finicky eater. Also offer greens, dark and leafy..but try baby food. It's quite palatable.and I had to do it with my box turtle. It was suggested by the vet and worked like charm.
