Why doesnt my snake like water
If all else fails continue to take care of him the best you can, keep his surroundings clean and warm, and trust in his instincts to do what he needs to do to thrive in your care.
Hope this helps. Good luck and may God Bless!!
no need to worry.its ok.consult the vet ,for your satisfaction.
Ball pythons are a desert snake from West Africa. They're not used to massive amounts of water. Just make sure you have clean water available to the snake. They get a lot of moisture from their food, so if this snake is eating well, hydration should not be a problem.
your snake is fine, i owned a snake for 6 years and my snake seemed to not like water either, in there natural habitat snakes eat and drink 1 to 4 times a week and they get frisky in water like its there natural habitat so they get excited, plus if the water is cold (remember snakes are cold blooded)! well good luck and try to get room temperature water!! *abbie*
Ball Pythons are from the African savanna, a very dry land, therefore, your snake will only drink the water.
Some individuals will soak in water just before shedding, and this is fine. If your snake lives in the water, you most likely have a mite issue to address. But, since your snake is staying out of it, no need to worry.
I am baffled by one resonse here, though. " no need to worry, consult a vet". What is that?? Mr. Universe appears confused. He is saying nothing is wrong but take it to a doctor.
Also, ball pythons are nocturnal critters. They are up and active while you are sleeeping, therfore you may not observe you snake drinking.
