It really doesn't matter much if you aren't planning on breeding.Females will get slightly bigger , but other than that there really isn't much difference.

If you buy from a pet store, chances are you won't know what sex it is anyway.

If you buy from a reputable breeder, they can sex for you. Usually the known females will cost slightly more.

any good reptile shop can sex one in about 2 seconds.. females are a bit more sought after and get slightly larger. it realy dosnt matter though.

I have a female. It doesn't really make a difference. Females get a bit bigger, but that's about it.

The only reason I got a female was because she had the nicest colors out of the group.

There is not much difference in behavoir between the two sexes. Until mating time. Males tend to become more aggressive, especially in the presence of other males of the same species, with the fighting (typically in the species that are not poisonous) invovling biting.
