i want a snake so bad, but i dont know what to get. im 14, i dont want a small one but not a huge one ether.HELP

Kingsnakes and corn snakes are great for beginners. and come in almost endless colors and patterns. Some people will also say ball pythons are good starter snakes too but a lot of them have feeding problems. Whatever you decide on make sure you do a lot of research and have everything set up before you bring the snake home. Here are some great care sheets for kings and corns.

For starters you need to get a captive born and not wild caught. This being your first snake,you'll want to staet a little smaller in scale. Ball Pythons are a good starter snake . They are rather good in temperment, andthey aren't too big or too small. Be for warned, though, they can be very picky eaters. other good snakes are:Childrens Pythons or Rosy Boas. Before buying your snake do alot of research so that you know how to properly care for it. You will need to devote time to it just as with any other pet.
