is vita-sand good for bearded dragons
No. Calcium sand and Vita sand causes impaction in bearded dragons. The sand developes into clumps in the digestional track and causes blockage. Never use any type of loose substrate for beardies, no matter what the bag says or what the pet store tells you. Not only does it cause impaction issues, but loose substrates also hold in moisture, which harbors all kinds of bacteria. Check out Lowes or Home Depot's ceramic tiles. They'll cut them for you the right aize you need to fit the enclosure. Non-adhesive shelf-liner is a good substrate, newspaper, paper towels, reptile carpet, etc.

Vita sand isn't the best, and though the previous answerer is correct that Beardies sometimes eat the sand which causes problems it doesn't happen all the time.
It is advised that you don't use loose substrates for young beardies cause they have a greater chance of the previously mentioned problem to occur. However if the bearded dragon is longer than 6-7 inches from nose to vent then it should be alright to use loose substrates such as vita sand or calcium enriched substrate.
If you have the money however getting the ceramic tile or a bunch of flat rocks may be not only safer for the lizard, easier to clean but also you could certainly make the terrarium look more realistic with logs, rocks and so on.
