my turtle refuse to eat what can i do for it2007-11-24 2:01:51

i had two turtles for about year ,but one was not eating never,then it died mounth and half ago and the other was eating well but it refusing to eat for three days should i be worry or what?

if that what can i do for it?is that because it is lonley?

Your turtle is not lonely. Turtles do not have to have a mate to be happy. The first thing I would need to know is what kind of turtle you have. Also, do you have the proper lighting? It is so very important to a turtle's health to have a light source that supplies UVA/UVB light. That light stimulates appetite and increased activity. Also, if you have an aquatic turtle, you need to have a heater for the water. This stimulates appetite as well. A visit to a herp vet would be in order. are you sure your other turtle was dead and not hibernating cos turtles reduce food intake prior to hibernation..but recommend you see a vet just in case

I would recommend taking the turtle to the vets office. It could be something minor, or could be very serious. A vet should be able to take care of the turtle for you and get it back to good health.

Well,you should go to the vet first and if there isn't anything wrong with it, try to feed it any kind of tasty vegetable you can lay your hands on.
