my sister called me and told me that she found a black baby snake in her bathroom yesterday by the toilot and she said she put it in the toilot and didn't flush it for about ten minutes, only because her kids wanted to see it, but she then told me that when she opened the toilot seat she seen the little baby snake crawling into one of the holes that the water comes out of when you flush.. but it didn't flush down, she got the toilot scrubber ang tried to scrub it, but said she had no luck now she's all FREAKED OUT, and askin me wat's goin to happen and where did it go, etc., and I have not the slightes idea on what to tell her. and please don't say smart comments or things like call a plumber or exterminator or things like that please and thanks!

about your toilet,the holding tank is on the top,that's the part that holds the water,it is held down by 2 or 3 bolts and screws.on the base, the under inside rim where the holes are,is the return filler.when the snake crawled in to the hole it will end up in the same place,the stuff in the bowl goes,down the drain.and for the record snakes dint have families,they are layed in and egg,when they hatch they go there own way,sounds to me you had a black rat snake,and the eat mice, a good thing.how it got in the house,if you house is on a slab,check your doors and make sure they close all the way,no cracks,and if you house is above ground check the outside crawl space,door, where the a/c goes under the house for holes.this could be the only time it happens,good luck

Since I don't know what area of the country you are in, cannot help you much. Are you sure it wasn't a large worm? The holes the water comes out of in a commode are small..really small. Or could it have been a salamander?

OK. Try putting a boom box in the bathroom. Turn it up loud. the snake will be attracted to the vibration of the music and seek it out.

Take the lid off her tank (on the back of the toilet) and see if he's there. If not, he's probably inside and there's not a way to get there.

Well, best thing is to call someone local that knows about snakes. Vets, shelters, wildlife dept. Someone should have some answers for your sister.

OK I had a pet black snake one time and i can try to help.OK
