what are some good tjps for raising my 2baby bearded dragons2007-11-24 2:03:02

lots of dark green veggies and fruits, fresh water

handle them lots and lots. mine likes to sit on my shoulder, and will even chase a ball across the floor, he loves it!

keep them nice and warm - we had a power out last night, he got a little too cold, and we had a scare that he wasn't ok.

the best advice I could give you is go to www.kingsnake.com and join they have an awsomeforum with lots of experienced owners and breeders We bought our beardie from one of them and we any questions we have ever had some ones been able to help! good luck beardies are awesome pets.I would also recomend lookin ginto lobster roaches instead of crickets they are much more filling and they are gonna eat a LOT!!
First you want to make sure everything is proper for the beardies. Next you can start by feeding them from your hand like giving them greens a leaf at a time or let them rest in your hand while feeding them. Same thing with crickets. If you can grab the little buggers you can hand feed them that as well.

Regular gentle handlings will keep them tame.

Thats really all there is to it. They are really easy to take care of.

Any questions just ask I'll be glad to answer.

handling them every few hours keeps them tamed and find out what live food they like best and the same with vegtables just don't feed them ice berg lettuce and if there both male keep them in separate tanks and if they are male and female and your planing to bread them then also keep them in separate tanks. if the chin puffs up and goes black leave them Alon i hope this helps you
Go to Exotic Pets
give them their space for a few days and the start to handle them more so they become accustomed to you, i have a BD and he has a reguar feeding schedule and will know when it is time for his food, he goes crazy for anything that moves, as juveniles dont feed them anything too big, whe they are adults and if they are pretty big you could possibly feed them a pinky mouse but only if its dead, you could try hand feeding them lettuce, you really just have to be respectful of them, just one thing, when handling your BD's always support them as fuully as possible, keep them on your palm so they feel secure, follow those tips and they should be as happy to see you as you are to see them:-)
After reading the answers you've received so far I just had to answer your question because some of the information given isn't correct. Don't be scared off by the keeping separate tanks answers. It IS possible to tell the sex of baby dragons when they are young but only by someone with a keen eye. I've never been wrong sexing beardie babies. I've raised several from hatchling size and so have other members of my family. Females have a wider, rounder appearance of their torso. Males have a straighter, leaner torso even as babies. It is also possible to tell by where their tails connect to the vent area. But that wasn't your question.
